New law is enacted to include race and ethnicity data in workers' records
On April 24th, Federal Law No. 14,553/2023 was enacted, changing the Statute of Racial Equality (Federal Law No. 12,288/10) to determine the inclusion of race and ethnicity data in the records of workers from the private and public sectors. According to such law, the information will be used to subsidize public policies that promote racial equality.
