On December 10, 2024, the Law No. 15.040 was published, establishing rules for private insurance. Known as the Brazilian Insurance Contract Act, the new legislation will be enacted one year after its publication.
The published law fully reflects the text of the Bill No. 2.597/2024, approved by the Brazilian National Congress on November 5, 2024.
