Today, the Desk is one of the biggest among Brazilian law firms. Working in a multidisciplinary fashion, the group fully assists Japanese clients in their businesses in Brazil, having significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure projects, establishment of subsidiaries, joint ventures with local partners and in selling their products in the Brazilian market.
The group has many of Japan’s major trading companies as its clients, as well as large and mid-sized industrial and financial companies, frequently acting as a project coordinator and having the support of specialized practices within the firm. The team has professionals with work experience in Japan, both in major law firms and companies. The group also has partnerships with law firms in Japan and Japanese offices of international firms that operate in global acquisitions involving Brazilian and Japanese companies.
