July 29, 2024

A recent report released by Transactional Track Record shows the main players and transactions of the sector

TozziniFreire wrapped-up the first half of 2024 highlighted in four rankings of Transactional Track Record (TTR), focused on the Venture Capital and Capital Markets (Equity) industries. The lists show the top legal advisors in each area, based on the number of transactions and their total value.

The reported transactions are mainly from the IT, infrastructure, and financial services markets, totaling over BRL 1.8 billion in market value, almost three times of its value (189% increase), compared to the same period last year.

Among the major transactions, it is worth mentioning the capital injection from CRM Bônus in a Series B round of BRL 400 million, which was elected one of the largest Venture Capital transactions of the semester by TTR; and the public offering of BRL 999.9 million from Sparta Infra FI, a fixed income fund that invests in infrastructure sector companies, in its sixth issuance of new quotas.

Marcela Ejnisman, co-head of TozziniFreire's transactional group, points out that "the Brazilian market has been driven by foreign investors, and the most relevant transactions are happening in all segments. The challenges are still huge, but the outcomes are positive."

Alexei Bonamin, also co-leader of the firm's transactional practices, states that "TozziniFreire is at its best and greatest capacity to provide high-level legal services in several market sectors in an integrated manner, combining the benefits of a full-service law firm with the expertise of each of its partners."
