Maria Elisa Gualandi Verri, partner and member of the Executive Committee of TozziniFreire, was elected President of the WLG and began her two-year term on October 29, 2023. Elections were held on October 28, 2023, at the WLG | Summit Rome '23 in Italy.
Maria has been a lawyer for over 30 years, advising on large transactions and working with some of the largest companies in Brazil. She is also the partner responsible for the Human and Organizational Development Department and supervisor of TozziniFreire's pro bono strategy and corporate social responsibility program. The primary focuses of her practice are Corporate/M&A and Corporate Social Investment.
Maria Elisa is WLG's key contact partner for TozziniFreire and is currently also part of the Membership Committee, in addition to having served on the Board of Directors as Director from 2015 to 2019.
