TozziniFreire announces new partners

We are proud to introduce TozziniFreire's new partners in São Paulo: André Camargo (M&A), Guilherme Ribas (Antitrust) and Gustavo Rabello (Capital Markets).

With the hirings, the law firm expands its practice in the country and reinforces the work of the respective areas, aligned with its growth strategy for this year. 

With eighteen years of experience, André Camargo provides strategic assistance to clients in the corporate, contract, civil and corporate governance fields. He has great expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganization, business restructuring and issues relating to management liability, as well as cases involving audit and anti-corruption matters. 

André is a professor at Insper, where he has served as former assistant dean for the LLM, LLC and executive education programs in law from 2002 to 2018. The new partner holds a postdoctoral degree in Corporate Governance and Entrepreneurship Law from Universität St. Gallen, Switzerland; a doctoral degree in Commercial Law from USP (Universidade de São Paulo); and an LLM in Corporate and Contract Law from the University of California, Davis, USA.

Guilherme Ribas has nineteen years of experience in competition law, having worked at both public agencies and private companies, where he drafted the antitrust compliance guidelines (SDE Ordinance No. 14/2004) and conducted the first antitrust dawn raids in Brazil. He holds a master’s and a doctoral degree from USP (Universidade de São Paulo), and his published works are a reference to the antitrust community, such as his most recent book, Processo Administrativo de Investigação de Cartel [Administrative Proceeding of a Cartel Investigation].

He is director of publications at IBRAC (Brazilian Institute of Studies of Competition, Consumer Affairs and International Trade), editor-in-chief of IBRAC's magazine since 2016 and member of the Competition and Economic Regulation Studies Committee of OAB-SP (Brazilian Bar Association, São Paulo section) since 2008.

Working for over ten years in the capital markets, Gustavo Rabello has solid experience in advising local and foreign clients on investment fund formation and management in Brazil, as well as on syndicated loans and project finance. 

His expertise includes assisting securitization companies, asset managers and multinational corporations, due diligence processes and coordination of transactions involving trustee collateral services such as collateral agency roles and custodian of notes and securities. He is a specialist in Business Administration from FGV-SP (Fundação Getulio Vargas de São Paulo) and holds an LLM in International Business Transactions from the University of London - Queen Mary College.
