AMIDST THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC, COFEN FOLLOWS THE MoH GUIDANCE AND AUTHORIZES NURSE-PATIENT REMOTE CONSULTATION
The Federal Nursing Council (COFEN) now also allows teleconsulting in nursing to tackle COVID-19, for as long as the corresponding pandemic lasts, through the COFEN Resolution No. 634/2020, published on March 27, 2020.
The practice may be on a simultaneous or asynchronous model, for consulting, clarifying questions, clinical guidance and orientations. Electronically records shall be kept under the responsibility of the nurse and/or the healthcare institution.
