Guilherme has over 23 years of experience in competition law, having worked at both public agencies and private companies, assisting clients in different industries, such as pharmaceutical, telecommunications, internet, technology, payment service providers, food and beverages, textile, and plastics. His practice is focused on advising clients on cartel investigations and unilateral conducts, as well as on mergers and compliance programs. He served as general coordinator in the now extinct SDE (Secretariat of Economic Law) of the Ministry of Justice, where he conducted the first antitrust dawn raids and drafted the antitrust compliance guidelines (SDE Ordinance No. 14/2004).

Karla Lini Maeji is a partner in the Compliance & Investigation practice at TozziniFreire with extensive experience acting as counsel for foreign listed companies doing business in Brazil, focusing her practice on internal investigations, and regulatory and criminal enforcement. She has conducted numerous cross-border investigations, especially into corruption, fraud, and procurement irregularities reporting to Audit Committees, interacting with external auditors, and having a keen eye for handling matters that may affect the company in different areas of law and jurisdictions. She has consistent experience strategically representing clients before multiple authorities, both in the context of leniency agreements and defense. Karla also regularly advises corporate clients on a broad range of compliance matters for having a deep understanding of her clients’ business and potential impacts on the company. One of her initiatives was the creation and coordination of TozziniFreire´s Government Sales practice group, which consolidates all the experience acquired in cases involving the issue to offer truly multidisciplinary assistance to clients. Karla is known by peer-reviewed publications as a "distinguished lawyer", with a "practical approach to problem-solving" and "a good business overview, besides having great technical knowledge of compliance". She holds an LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law, USA, and took a secondment program at an international law firm in London.

Head of TozziniFreire’s Competition Law practice, Marcelo was a commissioner of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), the Brazilian Competition Commission, from 1998 to 2000, and president of the Brazilian Institute of Studies on Competition, Consumer Affairs and International Trade (IBRAC), from 2010 to 2011. In addition, he has worked as an editorial writer and New York correspondent for the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, the largest daily paper in Brazil. He frequently lectures on Antitrust and Trade issues at events organized by the IBA, ABA, IBRAC and other entities around the world. Marcelo has also acted as a nongovernmental advisor before the ICN (International Competition Networking).

Head of TozziniFreire´s Compliance & Investigation practice group and member of the firm´s Executive Committee, Shin Jae Kim is a pioneer in the development of the Compliance field in Brazil. She is a specialist in the strategic coordination of initiatives that involve relationships with government bodies, crisis management, and corporate investigations across all industries and sectors. She is respected for her leading practice and over 30 years of experience in corporate law, M&A and for advising investors from several different countries in their inbound and outbound investments. Shin is also head of the Asia Practice Group, directly coordinating the Korea Desk. In addition, she chairs and speaks at several forums and international events focused on Anti-corruption, corporate governance and investigations matters. Shin also coheaded the creation of the Latin American Compliance & Investigation League (LACIL), which involves the top Latin America law firms in this practice.
