Brazilian National Export Culture Policy has been established

July 13, 2023

On July 11, 2023, Decree No. 11,593/2023 was published, establishing the Brazilian National Export Culture Policy (PNCE) and the Brazilian National Committee for the Promotion of Export Culture. The objective of the new policy is to increase the number of Brazilian exporters, especially among micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

The PNCE guidelines include the improvement of public policies aimed at foreign trade, the development and strengthening of inclusive programs, projects, and actions to expand the insertion of companies in Brazilian foreign trade.

The actions of the PNCE will take aim at all sectors of the economy, especially those with potential export. They will include, among others, the promotion of exports and the dissemination of the export culture, training for companies interested in the export activity, sharing of good practices for exporting products, and the identification of opportunities for fostering the export culture and exporting products and services.

The Committee will have the purpose of meeting the PNCE guidelines. It will be comprised of representatives of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, and the Brazilian Micro, and Small Business Support Service.

Government secretariats of the federative units, institutions representing collective interests that operate in foreign trade, and representatives of other bodies and entities, public and private, and civil society organizations may be invited to participate in its meetings, without voting rights.
