Marcus Vinicius Pimentel da Fonseca

TozziniFreire’s partner in the Banking and Capital Markets practices, Marcus advises on matters related to fintechs, foreign exchange transactions, derivatives, securitization, fund formation and compliance by financial institutions with relevant rules and regulations. He has significant experience assisting clients in national and cross-border corporate finance and project finance transactions, advising underwriters and issuers in national and international public offerings of securities, coordination and participation in due diligence procedures. Previously, Marcus worked as an international visiting associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, in New York, having also performed as a secondee at Banco J.P. Morgan S.A. in Brazil.

In 2019, Marcus won the Rising Stars Award granted by IFLR (International Financial Law Review). In 2018, he was also one of the three Latin American lawyers recognized in the category for their work in major operations in the areas of Financial and Corporate Law.
