Our Antitrust practice group has published articles about the Brazilian antitrust authority – the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) – in two newsletters of the American Bar Association (ABA), which is one of the most relevant legal associations worldwide.

Partners Daniel Oliveira Andreoli and Marcio Carvalho Silveira Bueno and  associate Marina Bleeke analyzed the agency's efforts to increase the amount of fines imposed on companies involved in cartels in 'Cartel Fines in Brazil Could Climb Even Higher as CADE Seeks to Offset Gains from Infringement'.

In 'Resale Price Maintenance in Brazil: CADE's Understanding After the SKF Case', partner Daniel Oliveira Andreoli and associate Vivian Anne Fraga do Nascimento Arruda evaluated the case which CADE punished a large bearing company for fixing minimum resale price.

The content will be distributed during the ABA Spring Meeting, a leading global antitrust event. It is also available by clicking the links below.
