Professional experience

Pedro is head of TozziniFreire’s Energy sector and co-head of the Defense and Aerospace practice. His thorough understanding of the technical aspects of his clients’ business helps him in structuring M&A transactions. Within this area, he boasts significant experience in due diligence investigations, risk analyses, and negotiations over acquisition or subscription agreements. Pedro advises clients on all aspects of energy project development in connection with both traditional and renewable sources. His work encompasses corporate and regulatory issues and the structuring of financing agreements and project contracts, such as PPAs, EPCs, fuel and equipment supply agreements, and O&M contracts. He also assists international clients in negotiations with government military entities and local industry regarding defense and aerospace matters. Pedro joined TozziniFreire in 1990, having worked as a foreign associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York from 1996 to 1998.
