Professional experience

The head of TozziniFreire’s New York office, Marcio’s practice focuses on cross-border acquisitions, private equity transactions, transnational contracts and joint ventures. Marcio has extensive experience representing clients in the U.S., Asia, Europe and Latin America. Before becoming a partner in TozziniFreire, he worked in New York for Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, Morrison & Foerster LLP and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.Marcio is also the coordinator of the German Desk, TozziniFreire’s area created specifically to assist companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH region) with their businesses in Brazil.


Marcio is consistently recognized as a leading M&A lawyer in international legal guides such as Chambers Global, Legal 500 and the Latin Lawyer 250.
