Professional experience

Luiz Fernando is the lead partner of the firm’s mining practice group and co-head of the government relations area. With significant mining industry experience, particularly in regulatory issues related to mining and contracts, he has participated in several projects, including a number of complex greenfield projects. He also has extensive expertise in administrative litigation before the DNPM (National Department of Mineral Production), judicial arbitration, and in highly-publicized litigation involving both domestic and international companies. He is active in the government relations area, having advised clients in public policy projects, working together with decision-makers and enabling a dialogue between the client and the public sector.
